Passion-1st Test Makeup

These are shots from the very first makeup test we did on Jim Caveizal. It's rough, and you can see the seams, but it looked pretty darn good. You can see s cmall bubble in the gelatin nose piece. The nose used here is my first try at a semitic nose appliance for Jim. It was deemed to be a little extreme, so I did a slightly smaller and more subtle verion after this, which is what was used in the final film.

The beard here is a very good lace beard. However, the beards used in the film were hand-layed every morning from scratch by an excellant Italian makeup artist who did good hairwork. The idea of re-using the same, blood-encrusted beard every day began to look like a bad idea.
